Angel Food Ministries

In order to function at our very best every person needs some basic nutrition. However, because of the economy with high costs and increasing unemployment, good quality, nutritional food is becoming more difficult to provide. A solution to high grocery cost is available through Angel Food Ministry who offers high quality meat, staples, and fresh produce at a very low cost. While Angel Food Ministry is based in Monroe, Georgia, families across the United States benefit from this food ministry with a “Servants Heart”. A basic box including 17 items such as frozen meats, vegetables, milk, eggs, rice and dessert costs only $30. At the grocery store the same, name brand, items would cost double. A Senior Convenience box of high quality low fat, low sodium, TV dinners, is also available as is an Allergy Free box and a Sea Food Box. Additional special boxes of frozen meats and fresh produce can be purchased to supplement the basic box.

This high quality, name brand food can be purchased by any body. There are no qualifications to meet or applications to complete. There are no limits on quantity except that to purchase any specials, one of the four standard boxes must be ordered. Orders are made with local host sites where distribution occurs one Saturday morning each month. The “menu” of food changes each month and current menus are available at each host site or at the Angel Food website. Orders must be paid for in advance by using cash, EBT cards, debit and credit cards. Cash and EBT orders must be made in person at a local host site while on line orders can be placed using debit and credit cards. There are several host sites in the area. Our local host site is Duplin Christian Outreach Ministries located at 514 S. Norwood St. Wallace. Orders can be made at the crisis center or online at www.angelfoodministries.com. Food is distributed at the Wallace United Methodist Church. More information is available by calling 910-285-5766 or emailing dcom-angelfood@mail.com.
