Member Spotlight: Robert H. Goslee & Associates

It’s Christmas in July and every other month for Manley Davis Carr, who works as a land surveyor and land planner when he’s not being Santa. Davis is the owner of Robert H. Goslee & Associates P.A. The company has two offices, Wallace and Wilmington, and has four licensed surveyors on staff. They do residential, land and commercial surveying, and their portfolio boasts some well known projects including River Landing, ILM Airport, and Carolina Beach State Park. They are also FEMA certified to conduct flood plain surveys for mitigation. The company utilizes all of the latest state of the art equipment including robotics and GPS. On the land planning side, they incorporate all the needs for a client into the planning of the project. They incorporate parking for shopping centers and public use areas in subdivisions into the terrain. Their current project is The Village at Duplin Winery, the mixed use development planned at I-40 Exit 390. The project, headed by David Fussell, will include a hotel, shops, restaurants, theater, winery and gardens. Of course we all know Davis best for his generosity in giving his time and attention to the town’s children as Santa during the holiday season. Our many thanks, Santa! New Member Spotlight: Brand Source

There’s a new Source in town for name brand appliances, electronics and mattresses. Brand Source has opened in the Page Appliance & Furniture space. Frank Fincannon has 40 years of electronics experience, with 20 years of it in Southeastern NC. He was an Area Manager for Hewlett Packard, and managed the sales force from Maine to Puerto Rico, he was the store manager of the Marine Corps Exchange at Camp LeJeune, and owned Woofer & Tweeter in Jacksonville before arriving in Wallace.
In bringing Brand Source to Wallace, Frank is bringing a company that has over 3,000 locally-owned appliance, electronics and bedding stores all across the country. They offer all the major brands and have a large selection in every category. Because Brand Source combines the purchases of all member stores, giving them $11B buying power, they are able to offer low prices comparable to other large chain stores. They pride themselves in having knowledgeable in-store experts to assist in the buying process, offer delivery and installation services, and have a factory trained service staff to keep everything in tip top shape in the future.
Frank’s plans are to offer a large selection of electronic accessories as well. No more having to drive to Wilmington for wires or connectors. Brand Source expects to offer value and service to the three county area around Wallace. They offer their own finance card to help budget your purchase, so be sure to ask about that option. In addition to everyday value pricing, the store offers manufacturer’s rebates and specials. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Stop in and take a look soon. The store has a great look, great selection, and you’ll really enjoy meeting Frank and his staff!

Flat Colby & Friends Visit Chamber

Greetings from Wallace, NC

We are excited to announce the availability of two new Wallace post cards! The cards are photos of the depot and the caboose with the message “Greeting from Wallace”. Both pictures were taken by Chamber President Sheila Young. The postcards are available for purchase at the chamber office in the depot. The price for the large postcard is $1 and the small postcard sells for 75 cents. This is a great way to celebrate Wallace as well as a great fundraising tool for the chamber.
